坎特伯雷故事集

本片取材自文学著作《坎特伯雷故事集》，影片则在原著众多独立的小故事中选取八段故事，以短小精悍、赤裸露骨的叙事风格，反映了中世纪英国的社会百态。这部强调性爱作为反抗宗教束缚、争取人性自由武器的电影，逼真的刻画了一个个迥然不同的众生相，穷奢极欲的城主，专营告密敲诈的小人，故弄玄虚勾引邻家少妇的学生，放荡荒淫的女财主，以及生活在社会底层的小无赖等等。　　由意大利著名导演皮埃尔·保罗·帕索里尼执导的影片《坎特伯雷故事集》，改编自十四世纪英国诗人杰弗雷·乔叟的同名诗体小说集。导演帕索里尼亲自扮演乔叟。本片是帕索里尼“生命三部曲”的中第二部，另外两部分别为《十日谈》和《一千零一夜》。影片荣获1972年第22届柏林国际电影节金熊奖。

血之海滩

One of the most influential horror films of all time, Mario Bava's A BAY OF BLOOD (aka TWITCH OF THE DEATH NERVE) is the spurting artery from which all future slasher films would flow. When crippled Countess Federica is murdered at her isolated mansion, a gruesome battle ensues to secure the rights to her valuable property around the bay. Everyone, from illegitimate children to shady real estate agents, stakes a claim, only to be killed in increasingly bizarre ways, from simple shootings to impalement by fishing spear. The makeup effects are by Carlo Rambaldi (who would later earn Oscars for his work on ALIEN). Initially scorned upon its original release because of its graphic violence, A BAY OF BLOOD eventually became a trendsetter, the model slasher film that FRIDAY THE 13TH would emulate nearly a decade later.

阶级关系

改编自卡夫卡未完成的长篇小说《美国》，但其关注的并非真实的美国，更像是没有详细年代的关于美国的寓言。卡尔•罗斯曼由于丑闻而接受其舅舅的邀请搬去美国，然而他无法摆脱欧洲大陆旧式习惯，更糟的是，欧洲的阶级结构无法让他通过自己的双手谋生。这一电影版关注资本主义社会创造的残酷而变幻莫测的阶级关系。同时忠于原著而未添加影片的结局。施特劳布夫妇风格的一贯操作与卡夫卡氛围的完美结合：中景固定机位，面无表情的演员，人物肢体和语言刻意僵硬，强调侧面特写，镜头推进及平移刻意突兀。由此我们可以寻求到改编卡夫卡作品的带实验性的可能。

女巫1967

"The Witch Burnt Alive"　　After a very long, but visually arresting animated opening credits sequence, Luchino Visconti (Death in Venice) directs the first story, which is the longest of the five, taking approximately a third of the film's running length. Mangano plays a superstar actress and model who travels to a mountain resort, only to find the well-to-do inhabitants have prejudices and preconceived notions about her based on her public persona. The women are all jealous and the men all want to sleep with her, but all Mangano wants is to be left alone. It's a mostly somber satirical piece, but story-wise, it languishes in its modest idea a bit long, becoming inconsequential to all but those fascinated by the realities of being famous.　　"Community Spirit"　　Bolognini's piece isn't really a story. It's more of a visual gag, in a short segment that features Mangano offering to take an injured man to a hospital, driving him at breakneck speed throughout the city, but not stopping at loca
